Important information regarding web pages: Words of Text Words of text supplied by the client, preferably via diskette/cd or e-mail.  Text may also be submitted via pamphlets, flyers or brochures to be scanned, however, there may be an additional charge for the scanning and formatting.  Please do not send us a draft of your text. Please send us your final text. While we expect to make minor changes here and there after the Web pages are prepared, we charge extra to format and insert brand new text. Most word processors allow you to count the approximate number of words. Web pages which contain more than 1,200 words may be subject to additional charges, especially if they require a good deal of formatting. Web page design pricing contract assumes that all text is provided by Client in electronic format (.txt, .doc, .wpd, and .rtf) on floppy, e-mail, or retrievable ftp, and the Client warrants the accuracy of the content of the text. We prefer Microsoft Word, though we can convert a wide variety of file types. Text on type pages is acceptable but may be subject to a transfer fee of $5.00 per page of text. Time required to make changes to client submitted text after the Web pages have been constructed will be additional, billed at the hourly rate of $50 per hour. Custom Graphics Package Masthead graphic on first page (simple custom graphic incorporating company logo). Top-of-page graphic for all other pages in your website. Colorful lines and bullets, and colored and textured background. Photos & Other Misc. Graphic Images All photos and other graphics are to be of high quality print suitable for scanning or electronically available (similar to text) in standard formats including: .JPEG, .GIF, .BMP, .TIFF or PhotoShop native format (psd). Other forms may be acceptable but with regards to quality and ability to edit is not recommended. The quality appearance of your Web site has a lot to do based on the photos or graphics you choose for your Web pages. Clipart can be used, but tends to make the pages look amateurish. Photos are probably best. You may send graphics to us in either digitized form or hard copy photos which we will scan for a fee. Prepare captions for each photo. You may affix a Post It Note to the back of the photo to indicate its caption and which Web page it goes on.  We allow for an average of three graphics/page, additional graphics are placed at $5 each. Site Publicity Site publicity to at least 5 major Web search engines, such as Google, AltaVista, WebCrawler, Lycos, HotBot, etc. Your website information will be submitted to the Open Directory Project (DMOZ) for inclusion, if accepted under the terms and conditions of www.dmoz.com. If your site has been accepted into the Open Directory, it may take anywhere from 2 weeks to several months for your site to be listed on partner sites which use the Open Directory data, such as AOL Search, Google, Netscape Search, Yahoo Search, and hundreds of other sites. We make updates of the data available weekly, but each partner has their own update schedule. Meta Tags Please provide us with a list of “keywords” or phrases that describe your website.  We will insert these keywords for search engines, (i.e. Google, HotBot, Lycos) to categorize and list your website.
